The Special Topics of Museology

The course The Special Topics of Museology is usually held three times per semester and is linked to lectures by professors/lecturers, researchers from foreign universities, and research and cultural institutions. The lectures are held in a foreign (usually English) language on a special topic in the field of museology or museography to gain an overview of the subject, especially outside the Czech museum environment. The student will receive information about the individual special lectures by email, but he/she can also find out about them on the website of the ÚAM FF MUNI. Lectures take place either in the form of personal participation, online lessons or both in parallel.

To successfully complete this course, the student must attend at least two special lectures and be active in the discussion after the lecture. For this reason, it is recommended to find out basic information about the lecturer and his/her work before the lecture, read selected papers, and create a series of questions on the lecture topic.
