Specialization - wider scientific basis - Addictology

Dear students,

I welcome you to the teaching of Addictology/Fundamentals of Addictology. I am attaching instructions with links to the subject team, additional study materials and brief self-study advice.

A subject team is permanently set up in the MS-Teams environment, which you can sign up for using the link below:

Link to the Addictology subject team

The teacher will receive notification of your request to be included in the team and grant you access.

I recommend that you first comprehensively and systematically study all points of the syllabus from compulsory literary sources, then return to them individually, supplementing them with summaries of essential facts, optional sources, multimedia examples and presentations. For each block focused on the problem of addictive behavior, its solution and prevention, you should get a comprehensive idea that will allow an overview of the relationship between human health and this risky form of behavior, its etiology, symptomatology, therapy and prevention.

You should be able to answer the following questions:
1. What does the given term mean, what is its essence?
2. What are the circumstances of the occurrence of the relevant phenomenon, the possibilities of its diagnosis and the legislative background?
3. What is the classification, typical manifestations and development of a given form of risky behavior?
4. What are its protective and risk factors?
5. What are the possibilities of its treatment and prevention, the connection with the pedagogical process and lifestyle?

The center of gravity of your progress in the subject rests on self-study according to the syllabus and the teacher's instructions. You can return to the individual circuits at any time, and in case of misunderstandings, ask a question or comment in person or by means of electronic communication.
