Monitoring, evaluation and knowledge management have become part of the daily work of the non-governmental and international sector. Organizations and international projects and programs need to evaluate the effectiveness of their interventions - whether the planned projects achieve their goals, whether the efforts made are relevant to the results obtained, whether a project has a systemic impact on its target groups, etc. “While the practice of evaluation is often claimed to be partly an “art” drawing deeply on the insight and experience of the evaluator, it is also a highly organized, sequenced, and methodical undertaking” (Markiewicz and Patrick, 2016).
