NO CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION THIS WEEK -- CLASS CONDUCTED AS A SELF-STUDY

Since this classes takes place as a self-study, your task is to do the following:

1) familiarize yourselves with the syllabus, aims, and objectives

- make sure to know what the course is about and what are the requirements for passing the course

2) read and understand course policies and class conduct

- understand what are the rules both in and outside of the classroom

- make sure to be prepared for course work

3) go the exercises in the handout below and submit detailed answers into the corresponding folder

- because our first class cannot take place in person, you will have to work on the material on your own

- make sure to work on the handout in advance and set aside enough time, as it may take you a while to complete it (remember, it replaces the class!)

- if you have a friend who also is enrolled in the class, you can work through the handout together

4) do the homework in the discussion forum

- apart from submitting your answers to the exercises in the handout, make sure to do the homework for next week -- see the discussion forum below).
