Course Instructions

Introduction

Dear students,

welcome to the interactive syllabus of the International Trade Law course. This syllabus is a tool that serves as your guide and primary source of information regarding the seminars. All the uploaded materials present a prerequisite for your active participation at seminars, as well as for a successful completion of the course. We hope you will find here all the information you may need.

    Course Requirements

    • Credit will be awarded upon obtaining at least 4 active participations at the seminars.
    • Should you fail to meet this requirement, credit will be awarded upon successful completion of the credit test.
    • Participation and active participation in seminars:
      • The student is obliged to attend seminars. Absence from the seminars and its excuse is governed by internal regulations of Masaryk University and the Faculty of Law.
      • The student is obliged to prepare for individual seminars according to instructions and to elaborate their solutions to the assignments uploaded to the interactive syllabus and IS.MUNI (alternatively in MS Teams).
      • Prior to the seminar, the lecturer reserves the right to assign certain questions to students by name, to which they will be required to prepare an answer and subsequently present the answer at the seminar.
      • The assessment of active participation is carried out by the respective lecturer.
      • Substitution of attendance at seminars is possible only in exceptional cases (illness, serious family reasons) with the consent of the lecturer. Conflicts with other classes, studies or work do not constitute a valid reason.
    • Credit test:
      • The credit test consists of 3 open-ended questions, each of which is worth max. 4 points.
      • For a successful completion of the credit test, the minimum requirement is 6 points.
      • The test covers the subject matter of the entire course (i.e., seminars, lectures, compulsory readings).
      • You will be able to take the credit test in the examination period of the fall semester.
      • Passing the credit test does not substitute for failure to attend seminars without excuse during the semester.
