HW for week 5:

1) Prepare a brief talk in which you will mediate a concept in physics of your choice to

a)      your classmates, fellow physicists

b)      a layperson

The purpose is conveying a difficult idea to your audience in a comprehensible way.

·         Time: 2-3 minutes

·         Visuals are useful (e.g. examples on board, slides with diagrams or illustrations, etc.)

·         Interactivity/contact with the audience is desirable, as well as a final appeal ‘what to remember’

HW for week 6: p. 1 task 2 - read the article and find out what it says about

                             p. 5 task 8 - word formation

 Think about visuals you are going to use in your presentation. Next week, explain briefly their types and functions in your  presentation.
