Course description:
The course focuses on review of and further exercises in the most problematic grammar structures found at the B1/B1+ level. Forms, meanings, and usage of grammatical structures of English are not only explained by an experienced teacher, they are also extensively practised during the lesson with the goal of making them automatic to the student. Learner-focused activities such as the analysis of learner errors will form an essential part of the lessons.
The course is also suitable for students aiming to sit the Academic English exam at The MU Language Centre (CJV).
Course content:
- present tenses
- present perfect tenses: simple vs continuous
- modal verbs
- relative clauses
- passive
- adjectives, adverbs and adverbial phrases
- narrative tenses: past simple, past continuous and past perfect
- articles
- collocations and phrasal verbs
