After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:

• Work as an independent expert in the field of clinical and laboratory haematology.
• Work as an independent researcher in the field of haematology and haematological oncology.

Graduates can work as independent haematology experts in clinical haematology, in haematological laboratories, and as scientists in research institutions.

The standard length of the study programme is 4 years.

Thesis topics:

a) Theoretical principles of haematology

b) Applied or clinical haematology

Students complete the following practical training:

Clinical practice as resident physicians (in the case of faculty of medicine graduates).

Laboratory work, collection of data, using specialized and IT equipment (in the case of graduates of non-physician and non-healthcare programmes).

Other activities related to haematology theory and practice based on the students' previous education.

Active participation in Czech professional conferences and presentation of own research results.

Up to 100 hours of teaching during the course of the 4-year study.

Students of the programme must publish the results of their research during their studies in at least one original paper in a foreign journal with impact factor higher than 1.0 (students do not need to be the first or corresponding authors, but their significant contribution to the project must be clear from the paper) and at least one review paper in a Czech or foreign reviewed journal related to the topic of their studies.
