This field consists of the study of technology and science as a modern societal and useful scientific discipline oriented towards the latest technology in engineering and computer science. It covers all the essential technical and informatics disciplines that are of use for linking production technologies in the fields of machinery, electronics, etc. with information and communication technologies. Emphasis is placed on acquiring knowledge and practical skills in workshops, computer rooms, electrical and electronics laboratories. The degree structure reflects a long-term approach to teaching focussed on the issue of practical activities and machining, design and construction, 3D graphics, CAD, issues of computer hardware and software, the Web and networks, robotics and electronics in education. The field is generally focused on creating professional, pedagogical, psychological, communications and other personal competences as a precursor to the follow-up Master's degree for teachers in Technical and Information Education and Teaching Technical and Information Education for Primary and Secondary Schools. Knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired during the studies are the basis of the competence to exercise the profession of teaching assistant, assistant teachers of technical education and IT and educational work.
