After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:
- create a general image of society and understand a person's role within society (from both the historical and the current point of view) based on the knowledge gained in the fields of social sciences
- understand, interpret and critically evaluate social science texts
- apply gained knowledge and skills to teaching civics at primary and lower secondary schools
- plan lessons, use combinations of various methods and forms of teaching
- include modern approaches (project teaching, problem teaching)
- apply gained knowledge and skills as a professional worker specialized in cooperating with authorities and institutions of the European Union in the spheres of public administration, non-profit organizations and the private sector
- use modern information technology
To complete the Master's double-subject programme it is necessary to combine one field of study with another one. Frequent and also recommended combinations are as following: English Language and Literature, Czech Language and Literature, History, French Language and Literature, Music, Christian Education, Mathematics, German Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, Technical and Information Education, Geography.
Required courses of teaching practice are Teaching practice 2 and 3. By the end of the teaching practice, a Master's graduate should act autonomously in the classroom and become a novice teacher who develops their skills in further education.
The contents of the final state examination are based on the pillars of social science disciplines that make up the required subjects and the subject didactics.

Another part is the pedagogical and psychological foundation, which is a common part of the Master's degree study programme for students of Teaching for Primary and Lower Secondary Schools as well as the defence of the Master's thesis.
