Preparation of an expert in the field with a focus on education. The study is aimed primarily as a preliminary to the Master's programme in the teaching field for secondary schools and art schools. The studies are designed for graduates from upper secondary schools with a school-leaving examination.
A part of the studies is a foreign language, basic advanced knowledge of the language is expected at a minimum level of A2 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), which is built on in classes.

After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:
- make use of the basic theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the fields of Piano Interpretation with a view to educatin, pedagogy, psychology and learning theory
- possess the competences to become assistant instructors at schools
- use the knowledge from the field of the history and literature of the piano
- demonstrate basic skills in the field of piano improvisation
- participate in the implementation of chamber music

During the Bachelor's degree graduates acquire the necessary competences that, according to Act no. 563/2004 Coll., on pedagogical staff, as amended, will allow them to work as a teaching assistant. Furthermore, the graduate can work in free time centres , as a tutor in youth centres, an educator in after-school clubs, and in a variety of civil associations engaged in pedagogical activities.

In the Bachelor's degree, students are prepared in the framework of the degree programme of Specialization in Pedagogy in a combination of two fields (playing the piano focussing on education and music education focussing on education). The standard duration of studies is six semesters. A necessary condition for the successful completion of the study is to gain credits for the completion of the prescribed subjects, a total value representing at least the minimum credit value of the studies. In total it is necessary to obtain 180 credits in the Bachelor's degree.

The teaching profile is formed by the pedagogical-psychological module, the subject-didactic component and teaching practice. The system of teaching practice is long-term and systematically directed at the development of the professional competences of the student and to prepare them for the role of teaching assistant. The teaching practice is spread over two semesters of the third year of study.

The final state examination will test the student's ability to implement extensive concert performances, gain an orientation in specific interpretive practices of different stylistic periods. Knowledge in the field of historical and contemporary piano literature is tested, as well as a student's ability to meaningfully discuss the topic of piano works.
The practical part is made up of the graduation concert which is half of a full evening programme, during which students demonstrate the appropriate interpretive level of a varied stylistic focus and the prerequisites for further growth in interpretive skills.
The theoretical part is a test of basic awareness in how to work with piano literature and of the history and literature of the instrument.

The Bachelor's degree in a combination of disciplines with a view to education can continue in the follow-up Master's programme in a combination of fields of study within Teacher training for Secondary Schools.
