The guidance module can be applied in counselling positions which offer interventions in the area of social or career guidance (e.g. in support of the job-seeking process, support for dealing with difficult social situations involving social services). The course will familiarize students with the major socio-pedagogical concepts, approaches, theories, and schools of thought.
Systematic preparation for work with clients will equip students for counselling work. The course will lead to conceptualization and understanding of social relationships of different types and severances of social and individual issues. The course will also prepare students for individual research and professional analytical work.
After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:
- apply evaluation and self-evaluation approaches when evaluating the quality of educational activities or the quality of counselling services
- be fully prepared for organizational, methodical, and conceptual work, as well as for the conceptualization and completion of educational projects
- be fully prepared to utilize the principles of project management during the conceptualization and completion of projects
- offer guidance for overcoming difficult life situations
- conduct empirical research in both of the essential designs of adequate research
- apply ethical principles of associated professions
