After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:
- manage the principles and application opportunities of microbiology from both theoretical and practical points of view
- demonstrate special knowledge and skills in the field
- formulate and justify own conclusions from experimental work and be fully responsible for those conclusions
- adapt to different fields of microbiology
In the first four semesters, students also assist in teaching and practical training in laboratories (2 hours per week). In the second, third and fourth year of their studies, students attend courses which deepen their knowledge in specific fields of their study programme. During their doctoral study programme, students are obliged to attend specialized seminars, complete an internship in a foreign country, present their results in English at conferences or at specialized seminars.
The doctoral thesis should be in the form of a complex of published articles and/or accepted manuscripts or in the form of a monography. It should be available in printed or electronic format, in a text or graphic editor.
