  • Parts of the final state examination and its content
    1. Defense of the diploma thesis (written in English or Spanish).
    2. The oral exam is divided according to the English and Spanish-speaking areas. The exam is in English and/or Spanish.
    The exam focuses on theoretical knowledge and knowledge from the following areas: cultural aspects of identity construction; multilingualism, language changes in North America; colonialism, regionalism; current society in the monitored areas; literature and culture of Canada, USA, Mexico and the Caribbean.
    The examiner verifies the knowledge of selected literature, the ability of students to theoretically analyze intercultural phenomena and situate them properly in the historical and contemporary social context.

To successfully complete the subject "Master's thesis" you need to get enrolled in the courses "Seminar for Master's Thesis I" and "Seminar for Master's Thesis II".
