Passing the study plan

In the state examination, the candidate must demonstrate a general overview at the level of a graduate Master studies in the field of Experimental Animal Biology and Immunology and a deeper knowledge in the field of the submitted rigorous thesis. The oral part of the rigorous examination is usually related to the thesis defence and thus takes the form of a debate on the general background, hypotheses, data and conclusions of the submitted rigorous thesis.

The rigorous thesis must be based on an accepted article from 1-2 Q (according to WoS) in the fields of Physiology or Immunology or Developmental Biology, where the candidate is the first author. The preferred option is to submit the thesis of an already defended dissertation as a rigorous thesis. The rigorous thesis does not have an officially appointed advisor. We therefore recommend that you consult with the programme supervisor before starting the rigorosis procedure.
