LLL plan description
- Presentation of the LLL plan (learning objectives)The goal of the Class 1 Athletic Coaches curriculum is to prepare highly qualified professionals who will be able to effectively and professionally conduct athletic training at the highest level. The program is carefully structured into two years of study, including a general part and a specialization part, through theoretical and practical instruction. Other objectives of the curriculum include the development of competences in the field of leading training groups and coaching teams, gaining knowledge in the organisation of sports activities, the financing of sport and orientation in the anti-doping programme. The programme emphasises the link between theory and practice, ensuring that graduates are fully prepared for the coaching profession at the highest level.

- Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of the Coaching School - Licence A programme, graduates will be equipped with comprehensive knowledge, skills and competencies that will allow them to effectively and professionally practice as a Class 1 athletics coach.
Graduates will achieve in-depth theoretical knowledge, including sport psychology, physiology, pedagogy and athletic training methodology. They will be able to apply this knowledge in practice, lead athletic groups, coach groups, plan and implement training programs, analyze athletes' performances and adapt training procedures to the individual needs of athletes. Practical skills acquired during the programme will enable graduates to effectively use theoretical knowledge in practice, apply modern training procedures, use diagnostic techniques and tools. The competences that graduates will acquire will enable them to professionally manage training processes, lead athletes to achieve high performance and contribute to the development of athletics at the highest level. Graduates will gain specific expertise in the field of athletics, enabling them to become leaders and innovators in athletic training and to contribute to the development of the sport at the highest level.
- Occupational Profiles of GraduatesA 1st class coach is usually a top athletics coach (a specialist in a particular discipline). May hold top coaching positions (e.g. section leaders, etc.).
- Admission conditions
Conditions of admission to study:
- Minimum age of 24 years (at the latest on the day of the start of the training),
- confirmed membership in an athletics club/club,
- completed secondary education with a high school diploma,
- qualification as a Class 2 Athletics Coach awarded at least 1 year prior to the start of study.
- admission interview (provided by the Methodology Department of the Czech Athletic Association in cooperation with the Faculty of Sports Studies of MU).
- Course of educationThe study is two years, spread over 4 semesters. The Faculty of Sports Studies of MU provides the general part of the study, the special part is provided by the Czech Athletic Association in cooperation with the Faculty of Sports Studies.
- Conditions of graduationClass 1 athletics coaches (licence A) will be named those who successfully complete the required courses from the general and special part, then pass the final exam and defend their final thesis.
