- Course objectives
- Mathematical Methods in Economics II (EMII) The subject matter of this course explores mathematical and statistical procedures in analysing time series and in modelling economic systems. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of index numbers theory and its economic application, particularly in time series. Methods of time series analysis will be explained as well as the application of the analysis to economic prognosis. Further topics include mathematical procedures of quantitative analysis and analysis of properties of feedback dynamic systems. Tools and procedures will be concentrated on applications to concrete macroeconomic and other socio-economic systems. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars. Examination: written and oral.
