- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to learn the students how to start their own business with the realization of all opprotunities and threatens. This course prepares students for a future entrepreneurship, as founders of new businesses or within already established companies as succession business. It is designed to give students practical insights into business aspects that are important during a companys early development phases, and to make them more effective in managing and growing such company.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will create and present business study for their own start up. The project will be done in the team or individualy.
- Syllabus
- Introduction - basic information about the course. The possibilities of starting the business in the Czech Republic.
- Analysis of 5C, definition of value and goals of the business
- Situation analysis, market analysis, driving forces of the industry, relevant stakeholders, funding
- Creation of business model and its revision according to the stakeholders demand.
- Franchising
- Strategic alliancies- merges and aquisitions
- Financing - start up funding, cash-flow, revenue stream,balance sheet, profit and loss account
- Financing - economies of scale, BEP, ROI, CBA analysis
- Setting up the marketing mix according the business plan and financial analysis
- Risk analysis, scheduling and control

- Elaboration and presentation of a correctly solved circuit of the assigned problem during the semester, when interim reports on the solution will be submitted and during the last concentration on the selected topic (participation - fulfilled/not fulfilled) If the assignment is not completed by the deadline, the course will be graded with a grade of X. colloquium - defence of the project Note: In case of a foreign internship (ERASMUS, etc.) the course cannot be taken.
