Enrollment in the course is possible in the following way (indicated in the application for consent to enrollment):

A) Film production (direction). The student has an approved technical scenario that he created within PV110 Basics of Film Narratives the previous semester or did not complete PV110 in the previous semester, but has his own technical scenario that he wants to have approved and subsequently implemented. Closing with a colloquium (P).
B) Creative involvement in the production of the film. The student wants to participate in the production of a student film produced in A). Completion as a credt (zápočet, Z).
The prerequisite is a passion for creative activity, specifically for multimedia communication through the creation of audiovisual works. More information on enrollment, detailed requirements, and rules can be found at https://is.muni.cz/auth/el/1433/jaro2024/PV113/index.qwarp.

Course objectives
At the end of this course, students are able to: identify and work with the basic concepts and roles in the production process of multimedia work, work in teams to produce film and animation work, and present it at the Film Festival FI MU at the end of the semester.
A secondary goal is to acquire soft skills for working in a production team on a joint work.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- Film theme, literary and technical scenario,
- Produce a short-distance team in the team,
- Know the roles and communicate in groups representing the film crew.
Syllabus
  • Production according to the approved technical scenario, finalizing the technical scenario into the production one: production team, production schedule, list of shooting days, selection of locations, actors, casting, and camera tests.
  • Filming, sound direction, and sound plan. Preparation and implementation of the entire production chain. Presentation of the filmed scene and testing in D3. Preparation of plan B. Quality control. Preparation of metadata for the video archive. Preparation of multilingual subtitles.
  • Filming and realization of own movies and images, quality control. Film presentation and marketing (trailer and social media).

At the end of this course, students are able to: identify and work with the basic concepts and roles in the production process of multimedia work, work in teams to produce film and animation work and present it at the Film Festival FI MU at the end of the semester. In the case of the festival organization, the students improve their communication, teamwork and generally the organization or compliance with deadlines.

- Produce a short-distance team in the team,
- Know the roles and communicate in groups representing the film crew.

At the end of this course, students are able to: identify and work with the basic concepts and roles in the production process of multimedia work, work in teams to produce film and animation work and present it at the Film Festival FI MU at the end of the semester. In the case of the festival organization, the students improve their communication, teamwork and generally the organization or compliance with deadlines.

Návrh a technická realizace rozsáhlého dokumentačního projektu směřujícího k multimediálnímu archívu a prezentaci FI MU na DVD. Bude rozšířen ediční systém vyvinutý pro CD Všech pět pohromadě s využitím technologií příbuzných XML, bude zpracován krátký film o FI MU pomoci nejnovějších digitálních (multimediálních) technologií a formátů, a prezentace výsledku na vlastními silami organizovaném křtu DVD.
Předpokládá se týmová práce směřující k výše uvedenému cíli, což představuje široké spektrum činností od akvizice dat, jejich zpracování do publikovatelné podoby (text, grafika, zvuk, video). Realizace krátkého filmu soudobými plně digitálními multimediálními technikami.

Výběr studentů pro zápis předmětu proběhne v prvním týdnu semestru formou vyhodnocení ukázek a) dialogu b) popisu situace c) dramatické zápletky Tyto ukázky mohou sloužit jako základ vlastního filmového projektu realizovanho v rámci předěmtu 1-3člennými týmy studentů. Předpokladem zápisu je tedy vypracování těchto tři ukázek v rozsahu cca jedné normostrany pro každou ukázku (vzory ukázek jsou vypracovány na http://www.fi.muni.cz/~sojka/PV113/ukazky.html) a jejich prezentace první týden výuky. Je vhodné dále mít základní povědomí o pravidlech mediálni komunikace, pro dokumenty a jejich přípravu získané například v předmětu P029 Electronic Document Preparation nebo P123 Elements of visual communication.
