- Course objectives
- This course will provide an overview of software engineering approached in managing work on large projects. It also deals with the problems of measuring effects of information technologies. The course will also critically review the benefits of information technologies, and will discuss support of administration and management in the software life-cyccle, together with related social and ergonomical issues.
- Syllabus
- Informaion systems, gobalization, and information society. The structure of information systems. Social issues. Software architectures of information systems. Operation information systems and management information systems Service orientation. Technologies of global information systems. Software confederations. XML in service orinted information systems. Waterfall method, customization and distribution of effort between developmnet phases. Iteration and inccrements. Ergonomy issues.How to measure the effects of information technologies. Main reasons of software projects failures. Steps before the project agreement is signed. Negotiation and requirements specification techniques. Risk management and its software support. Basics of team work. Late stages of software development in brief.
