Prerequisites
BOZP_OK(bozp_po_stud) && BOZP_OK(bozp_po_stud_fsps)
The basic prerequisite for the beginning of Physiology studies are:
- Regular enrollment of the subject
- student knowledge at the level of biology teaching at high school
- knowledge gained through study in the subject ANATOMY (bp4008).
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
Teaching physics is not an end in itself. The subject is thematically oriented so that the basic information about the function of the human body and its organs is presented to the students at the lectures (selected key themes), then discussed in Seminars and applied in Practice where the student will actively participate in the realization of concrete tasks , exercises and tests and program essays. Part of the Exercise will be the separate elaboration of worksheets.
The course is designed so that the student can understand the basic functions of the human body as a whole, as well as the function of the organs, and understand the mutual interaction of the human organism and the external environment for the maintenance of homeostasis.
Similarly, it will be mentioned how the function of the human organism (and the function of its individual organs) will affect the physical burden, illness, stress,
Students are familiar with differences in the functions of the human body in childhood, adulthood and old age.
Knowledge gained through the study of Physiology will allow students to understand the concepts and processes in the human organism that the student encounters in the next follow-up studies at FSpS. Understand the changes that occur in our organism in individual types of sport, it will know how to focus and individualize the training and regeneration load. The completion of the subject of Physiology is a necessary prerequisite for enrollment of subjects related to further study at FSpS.
Learning outcomes
Successful completion of the subject of Physiology will make it possible to understand the basic principles of homeostasis (ability to stabilize the internal environment of the organism), which are a necessary condition for the function of the organism as a whole, as well as its individual organs.
Understand what is happening in the human organism, due to the burden, age, illness, stress,
The acquired knowledge will allow to understand the basic functions of the human body as a whole (system), and from the point of view of the function of the individual organs.
Graduates of the FSpS have to know the possibilities of adapting, training, loading and regeneration of the organism in childhood, adulthood and old age.
The knowledge gained in this subject will allow students to understand the concepts and processes in the human organism with which the FSpS student will meet in related subjects. Thanks to the knowledge of the body's function, it understands the changes that occur in our body in individual types of sports and will know how to focus and individualize the training and regeneration load.
The completion of the subject of Physiology is a necessary prerequisite for enrollment of subjects related to further study at FSpS.

Teaching methods
A) Lectures of selected topics - as an introduction to study.
B) Exercises and seminars include both theoretical and practical part of teaching. Prerequisite for participation in the Exercise is the knowledge of basic information about the particular lesson.
C) Self-study of recommended literature
Teaching methods: presentation, discussion, practical measurements, group projects, essay processing, brainstorming. Testing knowledge.
Assessment methods
Subject physiology is normally completed by credit and examination.
The basic prerequisite for granting the credit is:
a) fulfillment of the duties prescribed within the subject (successful completion of Exercises and Seminars, elaboration of worksheets and semestral project). Compliance with these obligations is necessary to complete the credit test.
b) passing a credit test (50 questions - maximum possible number of points obtained = 50) at least 70%.
Entry to the oral exam is conditional upon the award of the Credit.
Participation in seminars and seminars is mandatory. A maximum of 2 absences are tolerated, topics missing and need to be explained.
