- Course objectives
- The aim of the exam is to test whether the students have achieved the B2 level of English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The exam is written and oral.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the subject the student will be able to identify the main points of a scholarly article, write an argumentative essay, use basic academic vocabulary and discuss the topic of their diploma thesis.

- Teaching methods
- This is only an exam, no teaching methods are applicable.
- Assessment methods
- The exam will be written /e.g.multiple choice test/ and oral. The written part comprises grammar,vocabulary,reading,listening, and writing an essay. The oral part will deal with the topics of student´s studies and research. Passmark - 60% in each of the parts - test, essay, speaking.
