Course objectives
The student will be able to demonstrate basic cross-country skiing techniques.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- describe cross-country skiing technique;
- demonstrate proper cross-country skiing technique;
- distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate ski equipment.

  • Cross-country skiing:
  • - alternate cross-country two-stroke
  • - single-leg cross-country
  • - two-sided skating two-stroke
  • - double-sided single skating
  • - alternating skating
  • - single skating
  • - safety in the mountains
  • - ski equipment

- practical test in skiing techniques
- written test of 20 questions (at least 80% pass rate required)
