Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
define basic sexology terminology; describe theories relevant for studying sexuality; identify factors that shape sexual responses and behaviour; interpret sexual behaviour; analyse meaning of sexual behaviours; formulate and evaluate possible solutions for sex-related problems.
Learning outcomes
identify relevant theories in sexology; describe trends in sexual behaviour; interpret sexual behaviour; formulate adequate solutions for selected sexual problems
Syllabus
  • Related topic:
  • - introduction to theories for studying human sexuality;
  • - historical and methodological perspective on sexology research;
  • - social, psychic and physiological factors of sexual responses;
  • - psychosexual development and age-related changes in sexuality;
  • - the sexuality of singles, cohabiting and married couples and other forms of sexually related relationships;
  • - sexual activities in the context of sexual identities;
  • - the dark side of sexuality
  • - excessive sexual desire

Assessment methods
To successfully end pro-seminar you have to fulfill this requirements:
- active participate on seminar
- reading
- oral presenation on a given topic (with references). It is possible to work up a presentation in couple.
