Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
Understand and explain actual ethic problems in psychology, different points of views and searching solutions. We will browse through themes which are frequent in media or in public.
Explain ethic matters solutions which can turn up in everyday psychologic practice.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction into problems - definition, ethics, morality. 2. Ethics conditions of helping profession - clinic psychology, social work, special pedagogy, pastoral care, marriage and family counseling etc. 3. Guest Mgr. Radmila Navrátilová - psychologist of children`s home in Olomouc, lecturer of ISIS association. Topic for discussion: ethics problem in psychology of children`s care in ChH, the selection of fosterer etc. 4. Ethics of psychology - supervision, expert counselling, burn-out syndrom etc. 5. Psychologist in health service. 6. Ethics codex and declaration of human rights. 7. Communication with client. 8. Ethic in masmedia. Psychologist in media. 9. Guest Mgr. Jiří Frgal - psychologist, HR director. Topic for discussion: ethic problem in searching, choosing and recruiting employees. 10. Patient exploitation - relationship above the therapy framework. 11. Equality and differences in society. 12. Ethics in clinical research. 13. Bioethics. 14. Ethics dilemma in praxis.

Teaching methods
The parts of courses will be discussions and practical trainings. Courses will be visited by psychologist and pedagogic psychologist, talking about ethic problems from everyday practice. Reading.
