- Course objectives
- Students will obtain complex information to analyse energy security issues of the Czech Republic in the international level. Students will be able to roeitn themselves also in technical and economical aspects of uranium production and nuclear energy.

- 1) Introductory lesson 2) History of uranium mining and nuclear energy in the CR 3) Nuclear Energy in the EU and the Czech Republic 4) Radioactivity and sources of ionizing radiation 5) Effects of ionizing radiation on human organism 6) Nuclear power station operation 7) Environmental aspects of nuclear energy 8) Nuclear fuel cycle and its application to the CR 9) Nuclear accidents in the world and the CSSR 10) Military use of nuclear energy 11) Uranium in international politics 12) Test
