Course objectives
On successful completion of the course student will be able to:
- orientate oneself in the structure, forms and rules of academic study of psychology;
- describe in basic terms main historical schools in psychology;
- work correctly with literature when writing his/her own texts (semester papers and Bachelor's thesis);
- apply general psychological concepts to concrete material (on elementary level)

Teaching methods
Theoretical lectures, class discussions, experiential exercises, reading, semestral paper.
Assessment methods
Final exam in the form of written test (for successful completion necessary to acquire at least 7 of 15 points). Semester paper, evaluated through a point mark (again necessary to obtain at least 7 of 15 points) and a brief written commentary. Presence on seminars is required.
