Course objectives
This course introduces the basic principles of personality psychology as they apply to daily life. Topics include traits, motivation, emotions, abilities, self-concept etc. that promote growth and development on the job and in one’s personal life. Upon completion, students should be able to apply the knowledge of personality psychology to everyday living.The experiential aspect of the course focuses on how to utilize psychology of personality in various application areas.
Syllabus
  • Classes are held in six thematic blocks, always 4 lessons once every two weeks. 1. Psychology of personality and career development. 2. Psychology of personality and health. 3. Psychology of personality and education. 4. Psychology of personality and law. 5. Psychology of personality and behavioral disturbances. 6. Psychology of personality and behaviour in various achievement situations.

Teaching methods
The course consists of lectures and seminars
Assessment methods
In seminars, students apply their knowledge on psychology of personality when analysing selected case studies. During the term, students write a seminar work on an assigned topic. There is a written exam at the end of the course.
