Course objectives
The course is focused on newly researched phenomenon of international nationalism. Students will get deeper look into cooperation of European far right political parties, organizations and movements. They will understand reasons and motives of cooperation, based on ideological framework of nationalists and neo-Nazis in relation to nationalist visions of “united Europe”.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to identify main features of international cooperation of current European far right. Students will be able to identify main motives and problems of internationalization of far right.

  • 1) Introductory session 2) Nationalism, National Socialism (Nazism/neo-Nazism) 3) Transnationalism, Concept of political opportunity structure 4) United Europe from nationalist/national socialist perspective – collaborative concepts of 20th century 5) History of far right parties` international cooperation 6) History of national socialist cooperation – transnational neo-Nazism 7) Current motors of cooperation I. – Islamophobia 8) Current motors of cooperation II. – European Union 9) Current motors of cooperation III. – Russia 10) Internet mobilization
