Cíle předmětu
The primary goals of this course are to develop students' practical skills in efficiently utilizing online data sources and databases relevant to International Relations and European Studies. Students will gain hands-on experience in navigating these critical resources, significantly enhancing their ability to conduct independent, data-driven research. Additionally, the course aims to introduce students to AI tools, focusing on effective and proficient use to support their academic work.
Výstupy z učení
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to identify and effectively utilize various online data sources and databases integral to the field of International Relations and European Studies. They will gain practical experience in navigating these resources, enhancing their research capabilities. Additionally, students will be introduced to advanced Artificial Intelligence tools that support academic study. They will learn not only how to leverage these AI technologies to augment their research and analysis skills but also understand the ethical considerations necessary for their responsible use.

Výukové metody
The teaching will take the form of interactive lectures that will provide a short introduction to the topic and will be followed by practical examples and discussion.
Metody hodnocení
The final assessment consists of points awarded for a presentation in which students present a short project on a topic they have chosen and developed during the semester. The assessment will particularly focus on the reasoning process involved in selecting artificial intelligence tools for the project and their effective use. For the presentation, students can earn between 0 and 30 points. To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to obtain at least 18 points.
