Course objectives
The aim of the course is to promote active involvement of psychology students in volunteer activities and to support the development of their skills and abilities that will be useful for their future working career in their field of study. Involvement in helping non-profit organizations in the field of psychological and health care, social work, etc. is welcomed.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
a. practice the active work in the community, where they live and study
b. apply theoretical knowledge of student provide in practice
c. relate the critical reflection formal organized and unorganized groups and associations
d. practice support presentation of MU outwards and to strengthen the social part of the university
Syllabus
  • The course consists of practical volunteer activities. Involvement in the activities of non-profit helping organisations in the field of psychological and health care, social work and the like is accepted. This may also include activities run by MU if they meet the previous condition.

Assessment methods
The condition of a successful pass of this course is completing a volunteer practice. One credit is given for 25 hours of volunteering. The practice must meet the following: a. must be beneficial to other people b. must be accomplished free of charge c. must be carried out during the semester of the course enrollment (including the exam period). For a successful pass of the course, students must insert: a. Volunteering confirmation b. Reflection of the volunteering The course can be registered repeatedly, but together (for all registrations), it is possible to obtain a maximum of 4 credits.
