Course objectives
The aim of the course is in particular to: -define the basic concepts of contract law and include them in the system of civil law (private law system); -orientate in IV. parts of the Civil Code; - understand the (abstract) general parts of the law of obligations in a broader context -characterize individual contractual types contained in the Civil Code - understand the issue of obligations from torts and quasidelicts - motivate students to monitor current trends in the development of civil law (including case law) in the Czech Republic and the changes that are taking place;
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: • understand the basic institutes of civil law; • interpret the basic institutes of civil law with the context of other parts of Private Law; • make reasoned decisions about issues of the civil law; • explain this regulation, • apply it and to create the legal view for the concrete cases.
Syllabus
  • The law of obligations.
  • Security of obligations, change of obligation. Discharge of obligations.
  • Type of contracts.
  • Obligations arising from damage.
  • Obligations arising from unjust enrichment.
  • Up-to-date information from legal practice and legislature.

Teaching methods
Learning is made in the form of lecture (once a week) and following seminaries (once a week - see MP410Z). The lectures have cognitive function, seminaries are reserved for practise of ability to apply the legal regulation on the concrete cases.
Assessment methods
Compulsory lessons. Continuous home preparation.
The course finishes with written test and following oral exam. Indispensable prerequisite for oral exam is a succesfull passing of the written test. Students prove their knowledge in oral exam in dialogue with the teacher, classification makes the teacher according to correctness and perfection of the answers.

Finish study of the civil law substantive.
Getting knowledge about single types of obligation under control (obligation arising from legal acts, obligations arising from damage, obligations arising from unjust enrichment).
Obtaining of new information about up-to-date legislature problems and legal practice.

At the end of the course students should be able to:

Course objectives
Civil Law Substantive - the fundamental legal part of private legal area.
Finish study of the civil law substantive.
Getting knowledge about single types of obligation under control (obligation arising from legal acts, obligations arising from damage, obligations arising from unjust enrichment).
Obtaining of new information about up-to-date legislature problems and legal practice.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
understand the basic institutes of civil law;
intererpret the basic institutes of civil law with the context of other parts of Private Law;
make reasoned decisions about issues of the civil law;
explain this regulation,
apply it and to create the legal view for the concrete cases.

Assessment methods
Compulsory lessons. Continuous home preparation.
The course finishes with written test and following oral exam. Indispensable prerequisite for oral exam is a succesfull passing of the written test. Students prove their knowledge in oral exam in dialogue with the teacher, classification makes the teacher according to correctness and perfection of the answers.

Course objectives
Civil Law Substantive - the fundamental legal part of private legal area.
Finish study of the civil law substantive.
Getting knowledge about single types of obligation under control (obligation arising from legal acts, obligations arising from damage, obligations arising from unjust enrichment).
Obtaining of new information about up-to-date legislature problems and legal practice.
At the end of the course students should be able to:
understand the basic institutes of civil law;
intererpret the basic institutes of civil law with the context of other parts of Private Law;
make reasoned decisions about issues of the civil law;
explain this regulation,
apply it and to create the legal view for the concrete cases.

Learning is made in the form of lecture (once a week) and following seminaries (once a week - see MP410Z). The lectures have cognitive function, seminaries are reserved for practise of ability to apply the legal regulation on the concrete cases.
Assessment methods
Compulsory lessons. Continuous home preparation.
The course finishes with the oral exam. Students prove their knowledge in oral exam in dialogue with the teacher, classification makes the teacher according to correctness and perfection of the answers.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is in particular to: -define the basic concepts of contract law and include them in the system of civil law (private law system); -orientate in IV. parts of the Civil Code; - understand the (abstract) general parts of the law of obligations in a broader context -characterize individual contractual types contained in the Civil Code - understand the issue of obligations from torts and quasidelicts - motivate students to monitor current trends in the development of civil law (including case law) in the Czech Republic and the changes that are taking place;

Course objectives
The aim of the course is in particular to: -define the basic concepts of contract law and include them in the system of civil law (private law system); -orientate in IV. parts of the Civil Code; - understand the (abstract) general parts of the law of obligations in a broader context -characterize individual contractual types contained in the Civil Code - understand the issue of obligations from torts and quasidelicts - motivate students to monitor current trends in the development of civil law (including case law) in the Czech Republic and the changes that are taking place;
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: • understand the basic institutes of civil law; • interpret the basic institutes of civil law with the context of other parts of Private Law; • make reasoned decisions about issues of the civil law; • explain this regulation, • apply it and to create the legal view for the concrete cases.
Syllabus
  • The law of obligations.
  • Security of obligations, change of obligation. Discharge of obligations.
  • Type of contracts.
  • Obligations arising from damage.
  • Obligations arising from unjust enrichment.
  • Up-to-date information from legal practice and legislature.
Literature
Teaching methods
Learning is made in the form of lecture (once a week) and following seminaries (once a week - see MP410Z). The lectures have cognitive function, seminaries are reserved for practise of ability to apply the legal regulation on the concrete cases.
Assessment methods
Compulsory lessons. Continuous home preparation.
The course finishes with written test and following oral exam. Indispensable prerequisite for oral exam is a succesfull passing of the written test. Students prove their knowledge in oral exam in dialogue with the teacher, classification makes the teacher according to correctness and perfection of the answers.
