The students are supposed to have attended and passed successfully the course in Language I.1. - French for Lawyers.

Course objectives
The main objectives can be summarized as follows: to be introduced to legal French to learn specific features of the French administrative and legal system to get new knowledge and new communicative competences and oral skills, in particular understanding both written and spoken texts
Syllabus
  • Exploring and working with the texts relating to the following fields: Family Law, Judiciary in France, Administrative Courts, Common Courts, Civil Procedure, Judicature - Comparisons, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure.

Assessment methods
The course is taught in the form of seminars. In is ended by a credit awarded on the basis of a test (70%)and active participation in classes (80%).
