- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to make the beginning postgraduate students acquainted with fundamental principles of presentation of scientific work and other important facts useful for their scientific training because, in comparison with the international context, the growing need for systematic training of postgraduate students for scientific career have been found. At the end of the course, the students will know the general principles of scientific communication, basics of ethics of the scientific work, the basics of rhetoric and basic orientation in financing of science and research.

- Introduction to Methodology of Science Ethics of scientific work, General principles of scientific communication, types of presentation, lecture, poster, technical aspects of presentation, technical aspects of writing, practical training, Written documents, standard popular articles, books, practical training, Journal publishing from the point of view of the editorial practice, Introduction to rhetoric and technics of spoken presentation, Writing and evaluation of academic thesis, introduction to scientometry, Intellectual property and its commercialization, Financing of research, grant system in the EU, Grant system, types of grants, Technics of presentation, using of computer, video projector, Information technology, internet, Modern information sources for research, Optimal use of statistics for data analysis, English in academic work, the most frequent mistakes, Analysis and evaluation of selected articles, analysis and evaluation of selected lecture and poster.
