- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to deepen the student's knowledge regarding the resolution of disputes with an international element. The student should acquire knowledge regarding the selection of different methods with an emphasis on proceedings before the courts. The subject’s aim is to analyze the most important EU regulations concerning civil, business and family relations.
- Learning outcomes
- After passing this course, student is able to: • choose the sufficient option to resolve the disputes in relations with international element • analyse arrangements of resolving disputes and to identify risks associated • construct a choice of court clauses and contractual arrangements relating to resolving disputes through ADR mechanism; • take into account legal and geographical aspects of forms of resolutions of disputes; • apply legal sources regulating international litigation

- Teaching methods
- The teaching will be carried out: 1) Frontal teaching method with the personal participation of the student in the faculty building, when an initial mandatory consultation will take place, including the definition of the issue and systematics, key terms and institutes, and the assignment of the completion of the subject. 2) In a synchronous form through three ongoing mandatory group consultations implemented in the MS Teams environment, methods will be implemented: group and cooperative teaching, critical thinking, solving problems from practice, and brainstorming, the emphasis will be on providing feedback, not frontal teaching 3) In an asynchronous form (individual controlled self-study) of the supplied documents in the IS information system and/or textbooks (study texts, video, podcasts, presentations with audio track and other interactive materials) 4) Mutual contact and communication between students will be possible at the first consultation held at the faculty and further through the subject team in the MS Teams application.
- Assessment methods
- The evaluation will be done continuously according to the entry in the electronic curriculum in IS MUNI processed individually by the student. It is evaluated by the teacher for each phase, and the student receives both feedback on his performance and an idea of the evaluation at the end of the semester.
