- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is the development of communication competence in the Russian language with a focus on pedagogical communication. Within thematic areas, students develop speech skills, the ability to interact and mediate in oral and written speech in Russian.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- communicate fluently within the discussed topics;
- analyze and apply translation or retelling of information according to context and communication intent;
- effectively use language resources for providing teacher feedback;
- correctly use grammar knowledge to motivate students to learn Russian. - Syllabus

- 2) Cultural points of contact: language, traditions, history of the people.

- 4) Using feedback: how to support the effectiveness of language learning.

- Teaching methods
- Working with audio and videomaterials, with printed and written texts, conversations in groups and in pairs, presentations, developing tasks based on the Task-based learning method, error analysis of student texts, providing peer feedback, writting an essay.
- Assessment methods
- Requirements for admission to the colloquium are active participation in class and regular assessment and doing the required home assignments.
The course ends with colloquium, which consists of two parts.
In the written part, grammatical and lexical knowledge is checked based on the topics covered in semester. The test must be written for 75%.
After passing the written test, the oral part follows, which includes:
- analysis and correction of errors in the test,
- a conversation on one of the lexical topics, acquired during the semester,
- creation of a dialogue in pairs for a specified situation.
Duration of the oral part 20-30 minutes.
Language correctness and the level of communication and interaction skills in written and oral speech are assessed. - Language of instruction
