- Course objectives
- Students will acquire theoretical knowledge in the field of personality and education of people with mental disabilities. They will acquire knowledge regarding problems of communication and communication disorder specifics of ontogenesis persons with mental disabilities. Will have knowledge regarding the speech characteristics of persons with mental disabilities depending on the degree, the type and form of mental retardation. Education of persons with mild mental disabilities, basic terms. Students are able to navigate the issue of development of speech and language skills for students with learning disabilities in terms of language levels.

- Legislation on the issue of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. Range of pupils with mild mental disabilities (specifics of personality, cognitive processes, variability developmental traits). Advisory system that provides services for children and students with mild mental disabilities. Preschool education. Framework educational program for preschool education. Elementary School. Framework educational program for basic education. Special educational diagnostics with a focus on people with mental disabilities. Didactic principles, methods, forms and means of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. Therapies position in education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. School and lifelong education for people with mild mental. Job opportunities for persons with mild mental disabilities. Conception of speech therapy, speech therapy positions in sciences. Cooperation with other disciplines. The system of providing speech therapy in CR. Valid legislation in speech intervention. Communication, the importance of communication in human life . - After completion of this course the student will gain the knowledge in education of individuals with mild mental disabilities (intellecual disability). Furthermore will obtain information about communication and impaired communication ability. The student will acquire knowledge in: the specifics of speech ontogeny of individuals with mental disabilities, characteristic of their speech in dependence on degree, type and form of mental retardation. After completion of this course the student will be able to give details of typical abnormalities in language development of individuals with mental disabilities. The student will obtain the basics about the educational system of individuals with mild mental disabilities

- After completion of this course the student will gain the knowledge in education of individuals with mild mental disabilities (intellecual disability). Furthermore will obtain information about communication and impaired communication ability. The student will acquire knowledge in: the specifics of speech ontogeny of individuals with mental disabilities, characteristic of their speech in dependence on degree, type and form of mental retardation. After completion of this course the student will be able to give details of typical abnormalities in language development of individuals with mental disabilities. The student will obtain the basics about the educational system of individuals with mild mental disabilities

- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to familiarize students with issues of personality and education of people with mild mental disabilities. The subject will be presented knowledge on communication and communication skills, specificities of ontogenesis of speech of people with mental disabilities, characteristics of the speech of persons with mental handicap depending on the degree, type and form of mental retardation.

- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to familiarize students with issues of personality and education of people with mild mental disabilities. The subject will be presented knowledge on communication and communication skills, specificities of ontogenesis of speech of people with mental disabilities, characteristics of the speech of persons with mental handicap depending on the degree, type and form of mental retardation.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course the student is able to clarify the specifics in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. The student will be oriented on issues of language development and language skills. It will be able to specify the possibilities of developing individual linguistic levels in pupils with intellectual disabilities.

Range of pupils with mild mental disabilities (specifics of personality, cognitive processes, variability developmental traits). Advisory system that provides services for children and students with mild mental disabilities. Preschool education. Framework educational program for preschool education. Elementary School. Framework educational program for basic education. Special educational diagnostics with a focus on people with mental disabilities. Didactic principles, methods, forms and means of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. Therapies position in education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. School and lifelong education for people with mild mental. Job opportunities for persons with mild mental disabilities. Conception of speech therapy, speech therapy positions in sciences. - Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to familiarize students with issues of personality and education of people with mild mental disabilities. The subject will be presented knowledge on communication and communication skills, specificities of ontogenesis of speech of people with mental disabilities, characteristics of the speech of persons with mental handicap depending on the degree, type and form of mental retardation.

- Upon completion of the course the student is able to clarify the specifics in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. The student will be oriented on issues of language development and language skills. It will be able to specify the possibilities of developing individual linguistic levels in pupils with intellectual disabilities.

- Legislation on the issue of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. Range of pupils with mild mental disabilities (specifics of personality, cognitive processes, variability developmental traits). Advisory system that provides services for children and students with mild mental disabilities. Preschool education. Framework educational program for preschool education. Elementary School. Framework educational program for basic education. Special educational diagnostics with a focus on people with mental disabilities. Didactic principles, methods, forms and means of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. Therapies position in education of pupils with mild mental disabilities. School and lifelong education for people with mild mental. Job opportunities for persons with mild mental disabilities. Conception of speech therapy, speech therapy positions in sciences. Cooperation with other disciplines. The system of providing speech therapy in CR. Valid legislation in speech intervention. Communication, the importance of communication in human life . Characteristics of verbal and nonverbal communication. Communication process, communication disorder. Phonetics, the subject of research Phonetics, Phonetic methodology - the basic elements of speech, voice division. Voices in the Czech language, physiological formation of vowels and consonants. Impaired speech development, speech therapy at students with language impairment, possibilities of influence development of speech and language skills. Dyslalia - etiology, symptoms, classification. Access policies in removing dyslalia. The course of elimination dyslalia. Development of phonetic-phonological speech at students with mental disabilities (breathing, phonation exercises auditory perception and phonemic differentiation, motoric speech organs, drawing process voice, Prosodic speech rhythm).
