Course objectives
The aim of this subject is to master German pronunciation with focus on the methodology of avoiding the typical pronunciation mistakes of Czech native speakers. Work with texts from the phonetic point of view is stressed.
Syllabus
  • 1. Methodology of avoiding the typical pronunciation mistakes of Czech native speakers 2. Pronunciation and grammar 3. Text from the phonetic point of view 4. Phonetic transcription practice 5. Texts convenient for pronunciation practice 6. New materials for teaching German pronunciation Seminar, oral exam: Oral exam: The students are supposed to master German pronunciation, as well as the methodology of avoiding the typical pronunciation mistakes of Czech native speakers. The students read a text and comment it from the phonetic point of view.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Seminární cvičení, povinná výuka, ústní zkouška. Požadavky ke zkoušce: Zvládnutí správné německé výslovnosti s důrazem na metodiku odtraňování typických výslovnostnich chyb českých rodilých mluvčích. Přednes vybraného německého textu a následný rozbor tohoto textu z fonetického hlediska.
