- Course objectives
- This course is designed to improve the fluency of students' writing for academic discourse. Students will be introduced to the process of writing and be guided through the basic steps of English composition.

- Teaching methods
- class discussion, individual projects (written assignments), peer review
- Assessment methods
- This course will only meet in-person once every two weeks. The rest of the work will take place online, in the mood-link-a system. Students are expected to have regular access to the internet and to check the course page frequently.
Because of the infrequency of the in-person meetings, attendance at those meetings is absolutely required.
Completion of the course is based upon completion of various assignments during the semester as well as a longer Seminar Work that will be worked on over the whole semester. - Language of instruction
