- Course objectives
- To acquaint the students with the reality of contemporary basic schools, i.e. with the necessity to deal with a variety of pupil groups, with children of different abilities and needs. To have the students think about effective strategies of mainstream school education which accept all pupils. To understand the rules and conditions of an inclusive school and classroom. To discuss the possibilities of the education process, meaningful cooperation between the classroom assistant, teacher and pupils, formative assessment, etc.

- 1. Theoretical foundations of inclusive education 2. Legal framework, economical aspects 3. Inclusive education paradigm, values and basic principles, current situation in the Czech Republic and abroad 4. Basic terms: inclusion, integration, heterogeneity, individualisation, differentiation 5. Inclusion as a process; not a state 6. Change in understanding the function of school/class and the position of the teacher in the school/class 7. Dimensions and indicators of an inclusive school – culture, conditions, practice, relations 8. Education in an inclusive school/classroom 9. Basic methodological principles and approach to the educational needs of pupils 10. Diagnostics of the educational needs of pupils, special educational needs 11. Planning and direction of the education process, strategies of education in a heterogeneous group 12. Pupil assessment with an inclusive approach
