Course objectives
At the end of the course the students should be able not to get lost in the field of human rights.
Syllabus
  • History of fight for human rights. American and French revolution. From human rights to citizen's rights. Europe in 20th century and protection of human rights. Racism. Terrorism. Council of Europe. Human rights in proposed European Convention. Activity of ombudsmen. Universality of human rights - African, Arabian and Asian charters of human rights. Activity of NGOs fighting for human rights. Equality.
