Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to win basics of the piano playing (major cadences, scales, chors). Creation of the piano accompaniment to folk and artificial songs. Playing the small listening compositions.
Learning outcomes
Student: • - learns the basics of the piano playing, can use them to interpret songs and short piano pieces; • - can play selected folk songs accompanied by basic harmonic functions; • - combines the song with a singing performance.
Syllabus
  • Playing instrument – the piano: In relation to music theory: • a) Playing the major scales / C,D,E,F,E-flat,G,A major/ • b) Playing the chords and their turns • c) Playing the major harmonic cadences T-S-T-D-D7-T in all major tones in chromatic transpositions. The basics of improvisation: • Accompaniments to 20 songs of the 1st grade and 5 songs of the 2nd grade of music education at secondary school (from textbooks) A/ stylized in accompaniment, playing according to the guitar marks B/ bass and the stylization in general harmony C/ stylized accompaniment (waltz, polka etc.) D/ pedalisation Playing 1 composition of his/her own choice and the technical skill of given student.
