- Course objectives
- The aim is to check the theoretical knowledge of students in the field of Russian life and culture, language skills and ability to work with literature within the scientific work.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student will write an academic work on the subject of Russian realities

- Students work up semestral work (10 pages) of the following areas: 1. The state system of Russia. Current policy. 2. Moscow and St. Petersburg. 3. Russian architecture. Golden Circle and Kizhi. 4. The national holidays in Russia. 5. Russian customs and traditions. 6. Applied arts and folk crafts. 7. Painting. Icons and iconpainters. 8. Russian art of the 19th and 20th centuries. Museums of RF. 9. Russian music. Folklore and classical music. 10. Author's song, modern music. 11. Theater. Skomorokhs, puppet theater. 12. Theater in the 19th century. The most important theaters of RF. 13. Ballet. Russian season. 14. Film. Development of film art in the 20th century. 15. Past and Present of Russian and Soviet feature and animated films. 16. The most famous representatives of Russian art and literature.
