Prerequisites
The English course for intermediate students (Level B1) who can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc., who can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest, and can read texts and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Course objectives
In the optional course English Conversation for Pre/Intermediate Level students will consolidate and practise their language skills from secondary school in various topics from common and academic life , they will try to express their point of view and support their arguments. Successful students will be credited for active participation in the lessons, for oral and written presentations and a sample of a suitable text for discussion at the end of the semester.
Syllabus
  • Ve volitelném předmětu Konverzace v AJ pro mírně pokročilé/English Conversation si student upevní dosažené jazykové znalosti ze střední školy a procvičí jazyk v konverzačních tématech běžného i akademického života, pokusí se vyjádřit svůj názor a také ho obhájit, argumentovat. K získání zápočtu se vyžaduje aktivní účast v seminářích, ústní a písemné prezentace a ukázka využití textu k diskuzi na závěr semestru.
