- Course objectives
- The goal of this couse is to present these topics to studetns:
People with mental impairment, aetiology, classification of mental retardation, diagnostics, education and upbringing of pupils with mental impairment, system of schools, special educational centres. Learning outcomes: At the end of the course students should be able to:
understand and explain mental/intellecutal impairment, learning disability; work with information on education of pupils with learning disability; make reasoned decisions about placing child into the school system; make deductions based on acquired knowledge on Dementia, Down syndrome - Syllabus

- Charakteristics of individual types of mental retardation.
