- Course objectives
- The course focuses on German as a language of studies as well as further development of language skills within the given level (B1). Practice involves: 1) comprehending authentic texts in written and recorded form 2) presentations and discussions, dialogues, presenting arguments and expressing personal opinions 3) writing less complicated formal texts, brief letters and essays.

- seminars practical lessons: communication activities, language exercises, writing tasks, presentation, feedback
- Assessment methods
- Credit requirements: 1) Attendance (only 1 lesson can be missed), active participation 2) Homework set in classes 3) Oral presentation 4) Exam – written + oral part. Only students who complete all assignments can take the exam. Both parts of the exam need to be passed (written part – 45/70 points, oral part – 20/ 30 points). Pass mark: 65% (65 points out of 100). Written part: listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing. Oral part: monologue (1 minute) + dialogue (6 minutes)
