- Course objectives
- There are two principal goals of the topic: to instruct students how to do the right analysis and the interpretation of selected texts read before the beginning of the seminar. The students will work in groups. Each group will deal with one of literary tests. The groups will evaluate the research outputs and use them in an independent presentation. The presentations will be performed by discussion with other seminar participants and will result in the analysis and interpretation of a particular literary text. The students will be able to work creatively with the basic stock of the literary text analysis (narrative models, topics, motives, symbols, figures, genres, etc.). The presentations are a preparation for a common workshop or a block workshop in which students from the partner university will take part. The other goal of the topic is to achieve the ability to present the ideas in German and to defend the students´ literary theses in a simulated conference environment created by the combination of Czech and German students.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be able to present the ideas in German and to defend the literary theses in a simulated conference environment created by the combination of Czech and German students.
- Syllabus
- The list of the texts to be read will be published at least one month before the beginning of the seminar. The topic of the seminar will be set after the discussion held by the Czech teacher and German teacher. The list of the texts will be given in the course developed for the particular seminar in Learning Management Moodle System.
