- Course objectives
- The course is focused on corporate finance and its management in the enterprise. The aim of the course is that student will be able to analyse the balance sheet and statement of profit and loss, will know how to compile indicators evaluating enterprise (in financial terms), will be able to assemble dozens of indicators from various financial areas of the enterprise, will know how to comprehensively assess financial situation and will have the idea of bases of financial management and decision-making in the enterprise.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students should know and be able to:
- Analyze balance sheet and profit and loss statement
- knows how to compile business rating (financially)
- Know how to compile several dozen indicators from different financial areas of the business
- Know how to fully evaluate the financial situation of the business and have an idea of the bases of financial management and decision-making in an enterprise - Syllabus
- 1) Basic concepts of business economics and financial management.
- 2) The financial statements of the company and their significance.
- 3) Financial analysis and its applications.
- 4) Overview of available external data with applications in financial analysis.
- 5) Horizontal and vertical analysis.
- 6) Financial and operating leverage.
- 7) Breakeven point analysis in the enterprise.
- 8) Ratios (profitability, cash flow and liquidity).
- 9) Ratios (activity, capital and debt market).
- 10) Systems of financial ratios.
- 11) Comprehensive evaluation of the financial situation of the company.
