- Course objectives
- In the intensive one-week course based on the textbook Allez hop! 1 francouzština pro každého (Lessons 6-8) language proficiency of students are repeated and unified. Grammatical and lexical structures from the textbook are introduced, they are also more practiced in different communicative situations through complementary exercises that are focused on the development of receptive and productive skills and verbal interaction. The course includes 30 hours of intensive instruction, always before the beginning of the semester.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course students will be able to: - use explained grammatical structures and vocabulary, - understand simple texts and reports, - use the basic rules of correct pronunciation and spelling, - communicate on discussed topics, - write a short message in French.
- Syllabus
- Syllabus of course 1. Repetition of lessons 1 to 5 - pronunciation rules ; negation ; expression c’est, ce sont, Il y a ; personal pronouns ; possessive pronouns ; adjectives ; numerals 1-69 ; expression of imperative ; verbs –ER, -IR 2. Lesson 6 - Food, restaurant, French cuisine - partitive article, quantity expressions, a question of inversions, preterite passé composé 3. Lesson 7 - Interlude 4. Lesson 8 - Description of appearance and clothing, features, fashion, materials - comparison, feminine irregular, preterite passé composé (exceptions) 5. Final test (lessons 6 to 8)
