Course objectives
The graduate of the course will be familiar with the support of communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder, will be acquainted with the importance of differential diagnosis. Gains information on how to influence the development of communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder at an early and preschool age. It will focus on how the problems associated with food intake in children with ASD can be influenced.
Learning outcomes
Student: - will gain theoretical knowledge about the possibilities of speech therapy intervention in children with ASD; will be oriented in the basic areas of supporting the communication skills of children with ASD; will learn the basic procedures for working with parents of children with ASD. - acquire basic knowledge about the issue of sensory dysfunction in children with ASD.

Teaching methods
Seminar, block teaching. Discussion on specified topics and case reports of children with ASD.
Assessment methods
Credit - the student prepares a seminar paper in the range of 2-3 pages of A4 format, taking into account the issue of communication skills of children with ASD or creates a tool to support communication in children with ASD and then reflects on the final discussion.
